It's been such a long time since I've read a paranormal book about vampires that I forgot how much I love this stuff.
Seriously, Lydia Michaels really knows how to do it. Her writing is so amazingly good that every book pulls you in, no matter what you're reading about. And she does an amazing job writing about hot, possessive men.
This book is an amazing beginning to The Order of Vampire series. There's a twisted fate, a vampire having a human for his mate that he needs to mate with so he doesn't die.
Adam's future lays in Annalise's hands and to say that she's overwhelmed and shocked about everything happening is putting it mildly. She has to leave her old life to live a new one - a completely different one that she's used to.
Her morals are tested, all her beliefs are questioned ...
This book is so hot and with so many twists that it just leaves you yearning for more.
Adam is sweet, nice and patient with Annalise, even though his future and life basically lays in her hands. He gives her enough time to decide and to trust him. He's always respectful and possessive, which is in his nature.
Annalise comes from a different world than he does and it's hard for her to accept the change so suddenly. But her feelings for Adam start to grow day by day and she soon can't deny the attraction between them. And, at last, love.
But their story is not perfect. There's a sudden twist at the end that puts a big question mark on their relationship. All of a sudden, nothing is like they expected and believed it was. And their love is put to a big test.
I swear, I ate this book whole. I devoured it because it has such a pull. It's amazing. Sexy, hot, twisted. Everything that makes you fall in love. I can not wait to read more because I'm addicted!
