Young. Wealthy. Elite. Attractive. The gentlemen’s secret society at Yale was filled with them.

And Nathaniel Radcliffe, the bane of my existence, was one of them.

As the right hand of the American Gods, he was conceited and arrogant. A dangerously handsome man in a tailored custom suit and shiny black oxford loafers.

The classroom was our battlefield. We made a sport out of arguing and debating, ready to do anything in order to win over the other.

Deadly opponents, deadlier minds.

I'd sworn I'd never give him the upper hand, until...

The secret I’ve been hiding for the last three years?

He just discovered it… and now he has all the power.

Now, this was really hot. I admit that I discovered this book because of all the drama that's going on around a certain author and I'm both happy and sad that I discovered it. Happy because it was a good read and sad because this was a novella and this author didn't continue writing this series (and writing in general).

Nathaniel and Juliette are enemies, at least that's what Juliette's convinced of. Nathaniel is rich and he has it all while Juliette has to work hard to afford her education.

There's an insane attraction between them that neither can deny and when an opportunity presents itself, they decide to explore their attraction for each other and give their 'relationship' an end date. But many things can happen in one summer.

Juliette is scared - she's surrounded by people who have influence. She has to hide her relationship with Nathaniel because she knows people wouldn't understand it and she'd get judged or, even worse, robbed of her future.

While I liked Juliette and Nathaniel's relationship, I would love if Juliette had a little more backbone and she'd be more confident.

This is a short book, a novella and it made me want more. We were introduced to Filthy Gods - Gabe, James and Arsen. While Nathaniel didn't belong to this group, he was equally, if not more, influential, hot and rich.

You can understand why a reader would be left craving for more. We were introduced to all these hot and rich assholes (but not really) and I sincerely hope this author makes a comeback and publishes the rest of this series.

R. Scarlett lives in a small quaint town in Southern Ontario, Canada and has an unhealthy obsession with mythology and romance.

From studying English literature and minoring in History, she loves losing herself in a good book and snuggling up to her Brittany Spaniel.

When she's not writing or plotting a delicious novel, she can be found hanging out with friends and family, going on long car rides, exploring small towns, or watching reruns of Sex and the City.
