My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.

Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.

I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.

Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.

She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.

Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.

And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

Swoooooon. Oh, God! This book was so cute and sexy. This is a well-deserved break from reading about all the bad boys

Ryan Kingston is a complete opposite of being a bad boy. He has his life planned out and organised to the T. He's careful and safe in every aspect; he's a careful driver, always has safe sex, always thinks his words through before saying them. He drinks milk with his every meal and, honestly, it's been a very long time since I've read about a MC like that, if ever.

Queenie is complete chaos. She's the opposite of Kingston, she's very out-spoken and she's not holding back. Ever.

❝If you didn't play hockey for the team my dad manages, I would totally get on my knees for you again.❞

Kingston is more reserved. He's very polite to everyone, very laid-back and calm in every situation. Queenie quite literally rocks his world when she comes into his life.

Their relationship is built on so much respect and support for each other that it was liberating to read about a male character who's so down to earth and respectful towards everyone. He doesn't need to be an asshole to be considered sexy and I'll leave it to Helena Hunting to know how to bring that out in her books.

Their connection was also out of this world. Their attraction to each other was unbelievable and they were both crazy about each other, both in their own ways.

This was a very nice read, filled with humour and sexiness. And soooo much love.

❝He's the calm to my storm.
My still lake at dawn.
My king.❞
