Series: Jock Hard #1
Pages: 376
Genre: Romance (new adult)

Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you're worshiping the porcelain gods.

Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends — the university's hottest party scene and breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble, and guys out of their pants, was a sport, she'd be the star athlete.

Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she's banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID.

"Rowdy" Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the university's baseball team — and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House.

But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.

I have a headache because of this book.

I DNFed this book at 15 %. I wanted to do it at 5 %, but I kept pushing myself. Nope. I couldn't get past 15 % of this pure cringiness.

What.The.Hell. What is this mess?! Excuse me, but how can this book have so many high ratings? I wanted to pull my hair out right after I started reading the book.

Scarlett was annoying the hell out of me. She thought she's all so mighty and so much smarter than her two friends, but really, she was dumb as a rock. She also doesn't know when to shut the hell up and just stop talking.

And the first conversation between her and her love interest ... Pure cringiness It went on and on and on and on about the same freaking thing: not being allowed to go back to the party because she's cockblocking. And what does she do? She stays out on the porch with the hot guy, whining the whole time that she wants to go back to the party and him just refusing.

I wanted to bang my head against the wall. I wanted to skip their conversation but it went on and on and on. I'm not kidding.

And, by the way, she goes back to the party the next week because she wants to see the hot guy again, even if she has to stay out on the porch the whole night.

Hard pass for me.
