It's always such a joy reading Byrne's words because she really knows how to do this style of romance.

In this second book, we get to know Christopher Argent, the well-known killer whose next prey is no other than Millie LeCour, the famous actress. But when he comes to her to get the job done, he doesn't expect to be so charmed by her.

One thing that is known about Christopher is that he doesn't do things halfway, so this kind of thing has never happened to him. He just can't seem to kill her, but then they make a pact which is unusual for him, as well.

When he learns she and her son are in danger, he takes it upon himself to protect them both at all cost. So, the famous murderer shows he has a heart and it's owned completely by Millie, but he doesn't feel worthy of her and he constantly pushes her away.

It's not the usual cat and mouse game with these two, but Millie is fearlessly falling in love with him and she's not afraid to admit that to him.

This story will make you giddy just from how protective Argent's acting towards Millie and how nice he is to her compared to other people.

If he wants it or not, Millie gets under his skin and he has trouble admitting that to himself, but he's so transparent that everyone sees what's happening, although he still denies it.

This was a nice book to read, yet it doesn't surpass the first one in the series, but I have to say I'm excited to continue reading other books.

The words flew so easily and the story was so intriguing that you couldn't put it down because there was a lot of drama and mystery in it.

If you're anything like me, the best night is one spent with a brawny highlander, a mysterious werewolf, a conflicted vampire, or a hot-headed Irishman. My stories span the spectrum of romantic fiction from historical, to paranormal, to romantic suspense. But I can always promise my readers one thing: memorable and sexy Celtic heroes who are guaranteed to heat your blood before they steal your heart. Lose yourself in the enchanted Celtic Isles, you never know who, or what, will find you...
