Money or love? Which would you choose?

You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it's an easy decision.

For me, it's not. Did I mention it's a lot of money? A hell of a lot.

I needed to go far away to think it through.

As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation.

Then, he left.

I thought I'd never see him again.

But fate had other plans.

Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight.

The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed.

Carter was dangerous and always on the move.

Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary.

He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places.

A bevy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter's reputation were never far behind.

I didn't know what to believe.

But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot.

At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

*
To be honest, I don't even know how I managed to finish this one. It's probably all the five stars and overall good rating on Goodreads that convinced me to read until the very end, but, boy, am I regretting wasting all that time on this book.

Shortly; I did not enjoy this one.

It has a bizarre, hard-to-believe plot and it was just a boring read for me. I couldn't connect with the characters and that was the major breaking point.

Let's see: We have Kendall here that has to make one of the hardest decisions in her life. She meets Carter in the airport when she doesn't know where to go and he makes a suggestion on which to plane to go and to where. He doesn't tell her he's the pilot.

Kendall does what he says and they end up in Brazil where they stay together. In the same bed. Complete strangers.

And then it gets weird because Carter becomes a panty-sniffer (honestly, what the hell was that?! I was disgusted) and ever since then, I can't see him as hot or charming because ew! Besides, he's also this womaniser who slept with basically every flight attendant and then some more. Since when is that sexy, really?

And Kendall was just a plain and boring character for me.

But what made it all even worse was the last 20 % of the book (which I mostly skipped) because they end their relationship, don't talk for one year, and then suddenly meet again in pure "coincidence".

I really thought I'd enjoy this book because it looked so promising to me, but I just couldn't get into it.

Once again disappointed by these authors ...
