I've discovered Donovan Kincaid's secret.

It's dirty and filthy and rich - as dirty and filthy and rich as he is - and it haunts me as much as he ever did.

Even after knowing what I know now, I still want to talk to him, to touch him. But there's an ocean between us, and I'm not sure it can be crossed with something as easy as a phone call or a plane ride.

Yet I'm willing to try.

He doesn't know this yet, but this time I'm the one with the power. And maybe - just maybe - if the air were cleared and all our secrets bared, there could still be a chance for us.

And this dirty, filthy thing between us might end up being love after all.

Yeah, no. I don't know why I expected so much more than what was delivered, because I already didn't like the first book.

I had hopes, guys. I had hopes that Donovan would change just the slightest bit, but he remained the asshole and Sabrina ate it up. I don't know what the hell this was, but it wasn't love. It was creepy obsession on both parts and it wasn't romantic or something to gush over.

First things first, Sabrina finds out that Donovan is having cameras in her apartment and he watches her, but she ... forgives him and tells him it's okay that he's doing in. She even finds that hot. Uhmmm, no

They continued with their rape fantasies and that was just ... super weird. I don't know what was up with that but I didn't like that one bit. Especially for someone who was almost raped to have rape fantasies? I don't think so.

And then was also the part at Weston and Elizabeth's party when Donovan's friend was being rude to Sabrina and making her uncomfortable in front of her and he ... said nothing. To him, at least. But to Sabrina, he said to ignore him and that he'll make up to her later. I mean, okay ...

I also highlighted something Sabrina said after meeting Donovan's parents and he asked her what she was thinking about:

"That my amazing, loving, supportive, understanding parents both died too young. And yours are still alive. And that it's not fair."

This just wasn't a book I enjoyed and I'm giving it two stars for good writing, but the story itself was just ... not my cup of tea at all and I'm sad to say it because I've read and loved this author's previous work. This absolutely doesn't mean that I won't read anything from this author again, because I love her work and her style of writing and I'm still a fan, just not of this particular duet, unfortunately.
