This book was a huge disappointment for me and I DNF-ed it at 60 %. I'll explain why later on.

I'm not against second-chance romances, they can be really good if they're written in the right way. This one, unfortunately, wasn't what I wanted. This book was a mess. And it pains me to say this because I absolutely love Kennedy Ryan's books and I normally eat them in a day! It was a different story for this one and I was struggling to pick it up and read it because the story just didn't pull me in.

First of all, I was already bothered by the beginning because it was around 18 % of the book written about their past as kids before the actual story started happening and I skipped most parts because I wasn't interested in reading that.

This is the book about two long lost friends that find each other again, but one of them has a kid and just broke up with his long-term girlfriend.

Ezra and and Kimba's romance happened fast and while Ezra had this weird deal with his ex-girlfriend that he'll tell her if he'll sleep with someone else.

And with her being gone, Ezra and Kim are free to have sex all over the place. It was just weird because it happened soon and Ezra and his ex, apparently, already had major relationship problems.

I couldn't bring myself to finish this book because it didn't interest me. This book just wasn't for me.

I write contemporary romance and women's fiction. I always give my characters their happily ever after, but I love to make them work for it! It's a long road to love, so sit back and enjoy the ride.
